What To Expect
- Jaipur: We will pick you up from anywhere in Jaipur at your chosen time between 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and drive you to Agra.
- Abhaneri: En route to Agra, you will visit the Abhaneri Stepwell, also known as Chand Baori, one of the largest stepwells globally. Built to conserve water and provide relief from the heat, it features 3,500 symmetrical steps and a three-storeyed pavilion adorned with intricate carvings. This 9th-10th century site is dedicated to Harshat Mata, the goddess of joy.
- Agra: Upon arrival in Agra, our guide will meet you to help freshen up and arrange for lunch.
- Taj Mahal: After lunch, you will visit the iconic Taj Mahal, an ivory-white marble mausoleum commissioned by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in 1632 for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Your private guide will take you to the best spots for photography.
- Agra Fort: Following the Taj Mahal, you will explore Agra Fort, a historical monument that has witnessed many significant events since its establishment in 1526. The fort has undergone numerous modifications and is integral to Mughal history.
- Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah: Lastly, you will visit the Baby Taj, or Tomb of Itimād-ud-Daulah, often referred to as a precursor to the Taj Mahal. This stunning mausoleum is a 30-minute visit and marks the end of your Agra exploration before returning to Jaipur.
